What do I enjoy most about being at Miquon? Right off the bat, three things come to mind. I really like the musical scene here on campus, my Miquon colleagues are top notch, and the campus is beautiful year round. I also love teaching at the same school my child attended.

Before coming to Miquon, I taught at Germantown Friends School for about a decade while giggin’ full-time as a musician. Outside of school, I play the double bass around town with my wife and poet Yolanda Wisher. Together we spend a lot of time marrying art and activism right here in our great city of Philadelphia. We started a rogue poetry collective based in West Philly, a neighborhood poetry festival in Germantown, and a band called The Afroeaters. Check us out at afroeaters.bandcamp.com.
