The words of Miquon's mission statement are a stirring call to action. At the heart of its intention lie progressive ideals, extraordinary teachers and a diverse community. To honor this intention, the Board of Directors is committed to:

• keeping tuition increases as low as possible
• offering a strong program of financial aid
• enhancing teachers' salaries and benefits

These are challenging propositions. As at most independent schools, tuition dollars alone do not cover the full cost of educating a child. In effect, every student at Miquon is subsidized, some more than others. To accomplish this Miquon must look beyond tuition revenue to the generosity of its alumni, parents, alumni parents, grandparents, staff and friends of the school. A successful independent school is one that receives a strong commitment from its entire community.
