Serena Rose Gaskin

Because of Miquon’s unique approach to learning, I am excited to be a part of the family as the Social Work Intern for the 2023-24 academic year!

I am a graduate student at Bryn Mawr’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, and a 2023 graduate of Ursinus College, where I received my B.S. in Psychology. I have had the pleasure of working on various research projects with focuses on trauma, diet and stress influences on adolescents, and spirituality amongst African American women. As a Bonner Leader, I have had the pleasure of volunteering at a variety of service sites, some of my favorites being Barnstone Art Therapy for Kids, the ACLAMO ESL Program, and Henry’s Got Crops.

As my interests lie in developmental psychology among infants and toddlers, I am enthusiastic about engaging in all that Miquon has to offer.
