Grapevine, July 2018

Alumni Matt Taylor ’84 and Miriam Rock ’04 have been elected to Miquon’s Board of Directors. They join alums Sara Gordon ‘72 and Rick Moses ’71 in representing alumni on the Board.

J. Bennet Hill ’42 passed away on June 21, 2017. J. Bennet taught Latin and history for 35 years at the Montgomery School in Wynnewood.

The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Orchestra debuted a work by PWHS 2014 graduate Tom Krumm ’08 at their spring concert on Thursday, April 26. The piece, titled “Slippery Slope,” is an arrangement of a fiddle tune originally written by Jay Unger.

Indiana Woodward ’06x was recently profiled in the Chestnut Hill Local newspaper about her experiences as a soloist at New York City Ballet.

We are sad to report two recent losses in our alumni community in the class of 1942:

J. Bennet Hill passed away on June 21, 2017.  Mr. Hill taught Latin and History for 35 years at the Montgomery School in Wynnewood.

Arthur R.G. Solmssen passed away on April 23, 2018. Mr. Solmssen was a lawyer and novelist who often cited Miquon’s deep influence on his development and life.

We are also deeply sorrowful to share the loss of our former principal, Penny Colgan Davis, on June 19. More on Penny.
