YOUR ACTION ITEMS
- If you didn’t already complete the parent events survey, please take a sec to do it now (note, we’ve fixed question #3)!
- Help your child remember to submit a nugget and hot dog order next week.
- Check the calendar, always!
- Note that school is closed Weds, Nov 22 through Fri, Nov 24. Vacation Care is also closed.
Check your contact information so we can send you broadcast messages if school is closed for weather or other emergencies. Take a minute to login to the Parent Portal, click “School Forms Online” in the upper left area of your screen, and check that your “Automated Emergency Announcements” form is completed and up-to-date.
It’s time to begin Financial Aid Applications!
Financial aid helps make a Miquon education possible for approximately 40% of our families! If you typically apply for aid, or if your financial situation or life circumstances have changed (e.g., you’ve changed jobs, you’ve had another child join your family, etc.), now is the time to please begin the financial aid application process. Instructions are found on our website.

Instagram All Around
Make sure you’re following, sharing, and commenting on all of the lovely Miquon Instagram pages! It’s a great way to see what’s happening in the specialist subjects each day, and in some cases, your child’s classroom.
Classrooms in the Blogosphere
Also be sure to check the classroom blogs from time to time. You’ll get the Progressive educator’s viewpoint on why we do the things we do at Miquon.
Parents and extended family are invited to this year’s Winter Assembly, featuring performances from every classroom group. We’ll gather on Fri, Dec 15 from 10 – 11:30 am at First United Methodist Church of Germantown (FUMCOG) for a special day of celebration and Miquon camaraderie. Arrive early (9:30) to find seating; as a courtesy to our children, please plan to remain for the entire performance.
All families are responsible for transporting their child(ren) to and from FUMCOG. There will be no classes held at Miquon on Dec 15. There is no van or bus transportation and Vacation Day Care is closed.
Parking details will be including in forthcoming email invitation.
