What struck me on my first visit to Miquon was how the landscape itself seemed to speak. The walk from the Schuylkill River, whose name a kind Lyft driver helped me pronounce days earlier, into the wooded campus offered wonderful opportunities to get to know and interact with the area. Trees line both sides of the road, offering a quiet, intimate invitation all the way to the campus’ thoughtfully and creatively designed space full of life, both aquatic and terrestrial.

Two moments have stayed with me to date:

1. A delicate lotus flower blooming in the pond by the library, which I noticed as Geetha graciously led me on a tour of the grounds my first time on campus, and

2. An inquisitive spider making a visit inside our new library, which James excitedly pointed out during our morning greetings my first week at Miquon.

It’s truly a joy to be here. As The Miquon School’s Director of Development, I look forward to cultivating strong bonds around our shared values and purpose while nurturing a joyful, inclusive culture of philanthropy that will ensure Miquon’s legacy for generations to come.

Please come visit us and experience firsthand Miquon’s beautiful living landscape, our vibrant community’s spirit of curiosity and care, and the ways our dedicated staff is nurturing the next generation of kind, compassionate thinkers, doers, and dreamers.
