I am so excited to be working at Miquon Social Worker. I first heard about the school as a prospective parent. I came to tour the school and was fortunate enough to get a ride back into town from an administrator. On the ride home, I shared that I was so smitten with the school, that I myself wished to be able to go there. I laughed as I jokingly asked if they were hiring social workers. In fact they were!

Prior to working at Miquon, I was the Social Worker at CHOP’s Healthy Weight Clinic while also running my own practice specializing in postpartum and perinatal mental health for about two years. Before that I worked for four years as a Family Based Clinician in Philadelphia and Montgomery County. I received extensive training in Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy and did in-home family therapy with children in crisis and their caregivers.

I earned my Masters in Social Work and Public Health at Temple University and trained at Congreso (working with teen parents) and Chances (working with women in recovery). Before that I was a case manager for several years at Congreso, working at the Roberto Clemente Elementary school.

I have always had a passion for gaining a deep understanding of children’s behaviors and supporting their teachers and caregivers. I am incredibly grateful to be continuing this work at Miquon.
