3.5 Parent Ed Night

Supporting and Affirming Gender Expansive and Transgender Students
Thursday, March 5
6:30 – 8:00 pm in the Clisby Library

At this Miquon Parent Education Night, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from licensed psychologist, national trainer, published author Dr. Jeanne Stanley about developmentally appropriate ways to support children’s formation of gender identity.

This informational session will help parents learn about different terminology and best practices around respecting gender identity, and will include time for questions and respectful discussion.

Child Care

Child care, including a pizza dinner, will be provided for Parent Education Night attendees for $10 per child for up to 20 children on a first come, first served basis. This fee covers child care from regular school dismissal (3:00 pm) through the end of Parent Ed Night. You can send your child to child care at any time; pizza will be served at 5:30 pm, and again at 6:30 pm for children who arrive at that time. Please mention you require child care when you RSVP.

(Please note, we do welcome younger siblings for evening care, although we cannot accommodate children in diapers.)
