Mike Byun

I was born in South Korea and spent my early formative years on the island of Guam before moving stateside for college. I benefited from having access to various landscapes in my youth- whether navigating dense jungles in the sweltering island heat or exploring lively street markets in Seoul- I had the space to explore and pursue curiosities.

It was important for my wife and I that our kids would similarly have an environment where they could ask questions, seek out answers, and discover the world through their own eyes. Miquon has been that place for our family. It’s been a joy to be a part of this community and to witness how a Miquon education can have an enduring impact for so many students.
