As a child my parents often found me up in my favorite tree, reading a book. So when I saw the opportunity to join the staff at the Miquon School in a dreamy little library in the woods, at a school where children’s independence and creativity are nourished, my attention was piqued.
After earning my Master’s in Library Science from Drexel University, I spent over ten years as a public Children’s Librarian at the Free Library of Philadelphia, most recently as Early Literacy Coordinator. I have also been involved in the Association for Library Service to Children, including previously serving on the Theodor Seuss Geisel Committee, and I am thrilled to be a current member of the 2025 Randolph Caldecott Award Committee!
I am thrilled and honored to share my love of reading, dedication to information literacy, and knowledge of children’s literature with the Miquon community.
