Marilyn Lager, 1939-2016
Marilyn (nee Trauner), age 77, of Narberth, PA, passed away on Dec. 7, 2016. Beloved wife of Eric for 57 years. Deeply loved mother of Karen Katter (Ronald), Jennifer and Robert (Karen). Devoted grandmother of Daniel, Julie, Matthew and Sophia. Cherished sister of Judy (Arnold) and Carole (Richard). Survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She graduated from Smith College and earned her Master’s degree from Drexel University.
She began her almost 40 year career as a librarian at The Miquon School and then spent many years as the head librarian at Friends Central School. She loved life, was an avid reader, world traveler, talented writer and photo-grapher. Above all, she valued her family and close friendships. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, Dec 11 at 12:00 pm at Friends’ Central School, Shallcross Hall Auditorium, 1101 City Ave, Wynnewood, PA. Interment to follow at Merion Memorial Park, Bala Cynwyd.
