Please attend Fifth Grade Parents’ Night for an overview of the Seventh Grade application process for independent schools, special admission schools in Philadelphia, and suburban schools. During the discussion, we will emphasize that this process is a parent-driven one, and that it is important to consider all schools for Seventh Grade. An application timeline will be provided.

- What parents can do to support their child and his/her peers

Homework
In preparation for the evening, please read the Fifth Grade Parent Guide and come with questions about the process.
Also, take a moment to review the Association of Delaware Valley Independent Schools (ADVIS) website, which has a listing of spring open houses at area independent schools. We strongly encourage parents to attend these early open houses without children.
Upcoming School Fair
On April 10th from 7:00-8:30 pm, 25 schools will be at a school fair hosted at Friends Central. This is a great opportunity to talk to administrators and admissions folks at area schools, mostly from the main line. We recommend going to this event without children if possible.
