Apply to Miquon
1. Submit Application
To initiate the admissions process, submit an online application. The next steps in our process will populate on our Admissions Portal once your application is processed. We will also send you a letter detailing next steps upon receipt of your application. The priority application deadline to be considered for 2025-26 admission is December 6, 2024.
2. Visit Campus
If you have not already participated in a tour with Caitlin Thompson, Director of Enrollment Management, prior to submitting your application, please do so by using our online scheduler. This conversation should be accomplished before your child’s visit. You may attend an Open House in lieu of a family tour.
3. Submit Paperwork
We require that all applicants submit a teacher recommendation form from their current teacher (if in a program) and request that their academic records be sent to Miquon from their current school. This process can be initiated on our Admissions Portal.
4. Schedule your Child’s Visit Day
Schedule your child’s visit through our Admissions Portal.
- Nursery and Kindergarten candidates will visit campus for one of our Winter Play Days.
- First grade candidates visit for one morning.
- Second grade candidates visit for one school day.
- Third through sixth grade candidates visit for two, consecutive school days.
Occasionally it is necessary to arrange a second visit or to gather additional information before a decision is made. Outside testing is not required, but if it already has been conducted, we ask to see the reports.
5. Meeting with Head of School
This is a required step for first through sixth grade candidates. We will reach out to you to schedule this 30 minute meeting. For your convenience, it is likely to be on your child’s visit day near their drop-off or pick-up time.
6. Decision
For those who have met our December 6, 2024 priority application deadline, we will notify you of our admissions decision on February 1, 2025.
Optional: Applying for Financial Aid
Applications for admission are considered independently of the financial aid application process. A decision about admission is made without regard to a candidate’s need for financial support. Financial aid is awarded to eligible families on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note: The priority deadline for financial aid for new families is January 6, 2025. Reference our website for specifics on deadlines and how to apply.
