Pennsylvania Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) Programs

Miquon is also on the list of scholarship organizations approved for the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) Program offered through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania’s OSTC program provides tax credits to eligible businesses that make contributions to provide tuition assistance in the form of scholarships to eligible students residing within the boundaries of a low-achieving school to attend another public school outside of their district or nonpublic school. Tax credits equal to 75% of its contribution up to a maximum of $400,000 per taxable year; can be increased to 90% of the contribution, if a business agrees to provide same amount for two consecutive tax years. For more information, please contact Miquon’s Director of Development or visit the OSTC website.

Since Miquon is an approved scholarship organization for its K-6 students for both EITC and OSTC, we hope that our community will encourage any business they are acquainted with to consider making a gift for scholarship support. Tax credit is available from both programs on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Please consider making a gift and having it “give” twice! Miquon benefits from donations that are matched by corporate matching gift programs. Please consult your company’s personnel or human resources department to find out if your company has a matching gift program. Usually, the donor will be given a simple form to send to Miquon with their gift; some companies have set up online systems for processing matching gifts.
