Elizabeth Nathanson '91

I credit Miquon with instilling in me an abiding love of learning that has followed me ever since I joined the Miquon community first as a student, then an alum and now as a parent of a fourth grader. I am grateful to the teachers at Miquon and the larger school community for fostering in children the joy of inquiry and inspiring the pleasures of curiosity.

In my professional life as a college professor, my classrooms look quite different from Miquon, and no doubt a creek full of salamanders and crayfish running through campus could enhance student learning! Inspired by Miquon, however, I encourage my students to ask hard questions, work collaboratively, and strive to help create a more just world.

It is an honor to join the Miquon Board and continue to learn about Miquon and give back to this community that has given me so much.
