We Love Our Miquon Families!

By Kristin Sanderson

This past weekend, the Kindergarten hosted their Family Museum event, featuring a participatory showcase of recent identity work in the classroom. The children welcomed their parents and extended family members who visited a table dedicated to each child, which included a “Me” book the child created, a “When I was Your Age” book created by the parents, and other visual representations of the family and their special treasures. Museum guests were then asked to help build the story further, by creating their own unique puzzle piece (a part of the whole group puzzle that fits together, above), adding to a weaving project, and checking out a memory quilt representing each child’s own unique family memories.
